Kathy Jackson Whistleblower or ?

"Kathy Jackson slush fund supported political allies" .

It looks like the worm may be starting to turn. This may be the start of justice for all HSU members, perhaps some of her many other "dealings" may start to come to life.

this was always going to happen . thomson was off the rails for a while there but i'm not sure all of his paranoia was in fact paranoia.or an act. this person is truly brazen in the way she went ''whistleblower' in an attempt to hide her own transgressions. i wonder if peter reith will take her to the HR Nichols society again to speak.

Tezza, it looks like the worms finally somersaulting....

Jacksonville 69: The Age exposes 'Whistleblower' Jackson — but much more still to be revealed

A new Fairfax investigation has shown self-professed HSU whistleblower Kathy Jackson as spending more than $1 million of Union money on personal credit cards.Peter Wicks from Wixxyleaks, who has been investigating and reporting on Jackson and her cronies for several years, reports and adds new revelations.

There is a saying some would have been best to take note of:

"Beware the crow that coos like it's a dove"

This week, the walls moved in a little closer again on the Coalition's darling girl, who loves to blow her own whistle.

I speak, of course, of Kathy Jackson — and it's about time too.

Further evidence has come to light from the excellent work of Fairfax investigative journalists Nick McKenzie, Ben Schneiders, and Richard Baker. This evidence supports my investigations and backs some of the claims I made here over a year ago.

With this new evidence of the seemingly systematic bleeding of the union members hard-earned money under Kathy Jackson, let's have a quick refresher of what Tony Abbott and Christopher Pyne think of her.

I would certainly think so,  with The Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption  in progress
"The inquiry, led by former High Court judge Dyson Heydon will investigate allegations of bribery, secret commissions and improper fundraising within five of the country's most powerful unions."

Oh my, another citizen journalist ( Peter Wicks) from the Independent Australia (independent of ?)
Peter Wicks lives in the Sydney suburbs. By day he runs his own small business, and by night he takes a keen interest in current affairs and politics.
Peter Wicks from Wixxyleaks, who has been investigating and reporting on Jackson and her cronies for several years, reports and adds new revelations.
Peter Wicks is a former ALP state candidate and is a member of the Labor Party.  ( independence alert ! )

Cronies, like Thomson and Williamson perhaps?

It is interesting to see that ALP affirmative action results/reveals a mix of ALP unionist and member "worms" of both sexes "misusing" their members funds, but it would also appear that Jackson is far better at it than the ALP males, and whilst earning the enmity of the pink Cyclopians:   "She withstood the pressure of a culture of corruption in the Health Services Union. She deserves the respect and support of the entire labour movement. Instead, many revile her." (Gary Johns)

GARY JOHNS The Australian February 2014 Opinion
KATHY Jackson is this column's Australian of the year.

Gary Johns, a real journalist/columnist, and once the Assistant Minister for Industrial Relations  and Special Minister of State in the Keating government (another ALP turned worm?)

Re: Kathy Jackson Whistleblower or ?

strange choice for what was it in you post, australian of the year? for what, being mates with the coalition or stealing?

Whistleblower used $1m in union funds

Self-professed union whistleblower Kathy Jackson used $1 million in members' funds to pay off two personal credit cards she claims to have used on work expenses between 2000 and 2011, despite having a union credit card.

Fairfax Media can also reveal documents provided to the Health Services Union by the Commonwealth Bank in the past few weeks show that between 2007 and 2010, Ms Jackson withdrew a further $220,000 of union funds in ''cash'' using HSU cheques.

The HSU is preparing to provide the documents to the union regulator, the Fair Work Commission, or the royal commission into union corruption, and request they be scrutinised to determine whether Ms Jackson's expenditure was reasonable and subject to appropriate accounting standards.

''The amount of union funds that were spent by Ms Jackson ostensibly for work practices is staggering. We don't know for certain how most of the money was used, but there appears to have been no checks and balances in place to ensure it was used in a way the members wanted,'' a senior union source said.

A Fairfax Media investigation has also obtained a leaked NSW police statement that alleges that Ms Jackson knew of serious corruption claims involving Health Services Union bosses Michael Williamson and Craig Thomson for more than a decade before she reported the pair to police in 2011.

The witness, Sydney businesswoman Carron Gilleland, said in her signed police statement that she asked for Ms Jackson's help in 1999 after discovering the possible ''illicit'' use of funds by the pair.

The leaked police statement and other documents also suggest that a private company directed by Ms Jackson and her then husband Jeff Jackson was used both as a secret slush fund and a vehicle for charging the union for ''industrial consulting'' fees in the late 1990s.

The revelations raise fresh questions about Ms Jackson's campaign to portray herself as a union and ALP whistleblower, a position that has seen her praised by Prime Minister Tony Abbott and been used by some to justify the royal commission into union corruption.

Fairfax Media can also reveal that supporters of Ms Jackson are preparing a fresh legal action to place the HSU - which she still serves as national secretary - in administration.

Ms Jackson did not respond to questions about the Commonwealth Bank documents that reveal she used union funds to pay off $1 million in work expenses she claims to have generated on her MasterCard and Diners Club cards, which included a points reward system.

Ms Jackson also did not respond to questions about why she did not use her union-issued credit card for work expenses. She also did not comment on the regular large cash withdrawals, totalling $222,904 over four years, she made using the union chequebook.

Re: Kathy Jackson Whistleblower or ?

"strange choice for what was it in you post, australian of the year? for what, being mates with the coalition or stealing?" She was a union official and certainly where the latter was concerned she had tradition to uphold !

"strange",   certainly,  in that a real journalist and ALP member and ex ALP luminary:  Gary Johns, once the Assistant Minister for Industrial Relations  and Special Minister of State in the Keating government would declare in a real newspaper:

"KATHY Jackson is this column's Australian of the year."

"strange"  certainly,  because Jackson would know that "hell hath no fury"  where  an exposed union(ist) is concerned, and I am not alluding to Thomson.

"strange" that BILL SHORTEN has commented : Labor will cooperate with the Royal commission. We believe that there should be the best possible standards in workplace relations. Labor has no place for any criminality or corrupt behaviour.

Whether Jackson will be shown (proved) to have followed in the steps of the corrupt ALP and unionist mates who have been actually convicted, and not by hearsay, we will have to wait and see, but I find it strange  the distaste for due process in the form of a much needed Royal Commission into alleged union corruption over the years.

"strange" that Johns applauds Jackson, it certainly is not.
