Kim Jong-un

If this is true, then the machinations and jockeying for position that must be going on over there at the moment will make the Trunbull/Abbott/Morrison stoush look like a tea party.

Well if he dies, I won't be mourning or lose sleep.

Could be a new dawning for the Koreas to unite.

Re: Kim Jong-un

Rumours surrounding North Korean despot Kim Jong-un's health have intensified today after several media reports have suggested he has died or is in a coma.

The Hong Kong TV news channel HKSTV's vice director Qing Feng has claimed that according to a "very solid source", the ruler is dead.

Meanwhile Shukan Gendai, a Japanese magazine, says he is in a "vegetative state" after heart surgery which went wrong earlier this month.

It was also claimed last night that China, the country's closest ally, deployed medics to North Korea to "advise on" the 36-year-old ruler.

But with North Korea being one of world's most secretive states, the Supreme Leader's condition remains shrouded in mystery and is as yet unverified.

And things could get even worse.

From that link -

It is reported that Kim's sister, Kim Yo Jang, is being lined up to take over as Supreme Leader if he does die from the mystery illness.

If so, she would continue the familyโ€™s unbroken grip on the country, started by Kim Il-sung in 1948.

Kim Yo-jong could be even more ruthless than her brother has been in his eight-year rule, experts warn.
