Re: Kindle advice

You've got to wonder why a Kindle version isn't available worldwide, it just doesn't make sense. ?:|

It's not Amazon, it's the publisher for some reason, who doesn't want it sold in that format to Australia.

That is right but the strange thing is I tried to buy an ebook from a US site, couldn't because of that but managed to buy it from a Canadian site straight up, no changing address's ect.

I wonder though if you can't go through Amazon UK, although they only appear to have that book in foreign language at the moment.

I do not have a Kindle, I have a generic reader.

Re: Kindle advice

There was a book I was after that I was unable to buy from Amazon US, and I found it on Amazon UK. However I was unable to buy it through the UK site for some reason. I think it was because my Kindle was registered on the US site.

Re: Kindle advice

Well that's a pain.  What about just getting the book onto your computer although unless it's a laptop it would be a pain to sit at the computer to read it.

I think the local lending library sounds good. lol.

Yes you can do that, as long as it's a file that the Kindle can read. [mobi files I think they are].

There is a free program that can change files into Mobi format, and that is Calibre. It works great at converting your PDF books and files into MOBI format, which is very Kindle-friendly.

I've googled and searched but can't even find any version that I could convert.  The library it is I think.

Re: Kindle advice

I haven't been able to download any games to my kindle, due to them always being unavailable or for US customers only
