when I first got my kindle, my kids said "not interested"
Then Mr12 started to borrow it, and kept borrowing it until I bought him his own for his 12th birthday.
Now Mr13 has decided to borrow mine - repeatedly.
I think I need another for me. 😐

I think I read it on here but can't find it now. How do I eject my Kindle from my computer while it is charging so I can continue to read. I think it is more than just the normal eject USB device down there in the bottom right corner? Somewhere in the Start menu? Ta

No, it's the same eject USB device here. I click on 'Safely remove hardware and eject media' and if my Kindle is plugged in one of the options is to eject Kindle. Click on it, and voila, safe to remove Kindle.

Nup mum, doesn't work for me, but I found what I was looking for anyway.
On the Big River forums:
Click on the Start button
Click on My Computer
The drive your Kindle is on will be listed. (On mine it's "G" but yours will be different.)
Right click on the Kindle drive and select "Eject Kindle"
All good now :-x

I've just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tablet the other day. I've got the Kindle app on it already, so I can read my books on either the Kindle or the Tablet. The Tablet will be good for childrens books, which I can read to my little nephew.
The Kindle is much lighter than the tablet, so I'll use the kindle for reading in bed
