Umm.............

............... I have 1, 241 books on my  Kindle**runs away reeeeal fast**:^O

Not all were freebies, quite a few are "new" authors to me that I discovered when I read freebies by them, and I have gone and bought more of their books 'cos I like them. :-D:-D:-D

Re: Kindle advice

Yes, that is what I have done too....sometimes I have bought and deleted after the first chapter, so started getting samples. Much better trying freebies then buying more written by a good author.

Re: Kindle advice

I was so looking forward to reading 50 Shades Of Grey; I logged onto Amazon Kindle ebooks online & read the reviews, it's so much quicker to do it on my PC rather than my Kindle.

Well, I'm so glad I read the reviews, I won't be buying that one.

The thing I like about Kindle is it's rejuvenated  the motivation of people to read  more. That can never be a bad thing.

Re: Kindle advice

Can you get a sample? I read a few comments in The readingroom....which indicated it was a good read?

Re: Kindle advice

I could get a sample but the majority of reviews were scathing.

Wow, way to go cuddlycat!! I've deleted some of my books so I was actually under 999 but since Saturday I've obtained more free ones. Some just sound so good from the previews and I have scored some really , really good reads.

My daughter has purchased the Shades of Grey triolgy so I will read them after her. [in real book form as opposed to ebook].

Some days I may only get 1 free book, other days half a dozen or so. I get 4 or 5 daily emails with specials/freebies each day and just work through them.

Getting used to the touch kindle slowly, I find that sometimes it's very sensitive and flicks forward too early.

The Kindle is the best gizmo out in my opinion.

I enjoyed Trouble in Mudbug, which was, and still is, a freebie, so much I have purchased the other 2 in the series. Finished the second one today, and started on the third.:-D

Re: Kindle advice

Woo Hoo Episode 13 of 'Yesterdays Gone' is out today.

The authors did a chat online this morning and i have been chatting to them about their books.

Apart from 'Yesterdays Gone' they also have a few other series going- 'Forevermore', 'Whitespace' and 'Available Darkness'.

I am about to start 'Whitespace' and am so happy that the authors just gave me a free kindle version of the whole first season.

Wow Amy, that was nice of them!

My daughter has finished reading the various Shades of Grey books and has given them to me to read. I read the first one last night........definitely hotter than my mills and boons!
