Aww my 14 year old son just happily paid for a Kiva loan out of his own money. I suggested it to him after showing him the one I did last night and he didn't hesitate to say yes.

Just a little bit proud that he did that :-x

Remember it's a little contribution for us but it's a huge help for them. And when you have many loans, a handy little tool is the repayments schedule. It shows you how much next month and so forth will be coming in. Hover over the small arrow next to portfolio, and in the drop down menu select estimated repayments.

And one of the benefits of being in the group is we can see loans others have made that may still need completing, then select to lend to the same person, hence more chance of a loan being completed.

cezm, I just did a loan for Mila as well. That makes 2 in Uganda I have at the moment. My very first one was for someone i Uganda buying and selling used clothes. 🙂

Thank you 🙂 .... I keep checking to see if he can get to 100% but he only has a day to go. Mila was the first person I chose ... it's such a good feeling being able to help someone out.

I will concentrate on Uganda but, in light of your comment earlier about repayment terms, I also did a loan to Hamza in Kenya because he had a shorter repayment term.

I guess the idea would be to space them out so that I have something finishing every month or so.

Our team is well on its way to achieving the goal set, 100 loans in 1 year. We currently have 44 loans since October 23. 

I don't know if I've already mentioned it on this thread (probably, because I have a habit of repeating myself) but I sometimes wonder how many extra loans this Kiva thread has generated, the ripple effect is incredible.
