Kiva loan :)

Aww my 14 year old son just happily paid for a Kiva loan out of his own money. I suggested it to him after showing him the one I did last night and he didn't hesitate to say yes.

Just a little bit proud that he did that :-x

Hi cosmos, after you log into My portfolio, at the top of the page is another small portfolio with a small arrow on the right. Hover over that and a drop down menu appears, scroll to bottom which is Estimated repayments. 🙂

One of my loans is about to expire.  That means that because the loan was advertised nearly 30 days ago and they haven't raised enough lenders it will expire and I will get my loan money back.

In this case the borrower has already been lent the money by the field partner so that it is the field partner that misses out if they can't back this loan.  This is not good news but it does happen.

To avoid the field partner missing out the loan has only another couple of days to be fully funded.  There is nothing wrong with the borrower, not their fault.  It's just that the slightly larger loans take longer to back with lenders.

Nice one, I find when the loans get to above about 80% they tend to fund quickly as many like to complete loans or many also seem to complete ones that show to expire soon.

Also there appears to be another member that's joined the group recently. 🙂

I've received repayments also. On my original account 3 loans have received repayments and I've got a $26.05 credit, so enough to loan again 😄

The work one I look after has repayments from 2 people but also has a delinquent loan. This one hasn't made a single repayment so isn't looking promising at the moment, it was one of my 'free' loans.

I've had a couple of delinquent loans before but they've always been paid in the end.
