yes, i give kudos. and, i've had some.. its a new experience. do you think kudo-giving is a form of cyber-bullying when its backs up a critical post or remark ? is a combination of kudos and tags too much to bear, and do you think it divides an already fractured community ? is the community fractured naturally , and the fracturing not a concern ? is it not fractured ? .

No that's tags not kudos
as well as tags, you can delete your kudos too. second bottom on the list - revoke my kudos....
to delete, you would need to go to that particular post where you left a kudo

The page shows you only the kudos awarded by the moderator integration
http://community.ebay.com.au/t5/kudos/userpage/user-id/963069/tab/users-i-kudoed
Yes Iza if you follow the link to the Kudos activity by the moderator "Migration" you can see that they have given Kudos to posts that
were made back in March 2012.
To check sort the "kudos' by "Kudos given by post" and then click on the last page 1177.
The date of that post is 7/4/ 2012 and made by Bad Angel.
As an example If the kudos awarded by Migration had been given in 3 weeks to the member sparklz Kudos: 3,638 had been
awarded in 3 weeks then that equates tio 2 kudos an hour awarded 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the 3 week period
Kudos awarded by the moderator integration in 3 weeks...."the big hitters"
putney32 888
tony robbo 356
Joono
Gem addiction Kudos: 800
new2vintage Kudos: 266
foxetteinsox 466
supernova 781
straybooksoz 186
Given that Kudos as described by lithium as acting in this manner
"Your Kudos helps to boost the value of certain messages and enhance the reputation of their authors."
and also
what is Kudos weight?
"Your Kudos weight is the number of Kudos you give each time you click a Kudos! badge. If you're new to the community, you will probably give Kudos one at a time (your Kudos weight is 1). More experienced community members might have a higher Kudos weight, allowing them to give two, ten or more Kudos each time they click"
It would appear that the moderator "integration" has artificially inflated those members quoted above so that their Kudos
will have more weight, their message value will be "boosted" and their reputation enhanced..... Hmm I wonder why they would do that????
so that it will appear to new forum viewers that generally most users have 8 or 10 kudos as an average in 3 weeks
.....while the manipulated Kudos scores have 10 times to 50 times that score....
Lucky I noticed because in another 3 or 4 weeks it would be almost undetectable
Gee it's a wonder that some of those users above^^^^ did not notice that their Kudos scores had suddenly become wildy inflated.... isn't it???

As spot welders friend mentioned
It will not be long and those inlfated Kudos will have the black Kudos belt and their "weighted" Kudos on one post will quickly
have the post marked as...wait for it... HOT KUDOS
Where did the Kudos number go?
Sometimes a message gets so many Kudos that there is no more space to show the number.
When this happens you'll see a Hot Kudos symbol or icon instead of the Kudos count on the Kudos badge.
Holy Ecky Thump..... Batman
go the black pudding brigade

So to put it plainly Sparklz id has a total of 3738 kudos and 3638 of those were awarded by one member
the moderator "migration"
and being the ever curious one
I wondered WHY???
and
why none of the ids mentioned it or noticed it ????

It's only frivolous on CS, but could be used to advantage on the trading boards as it will eventually indicate who are the respected helpers
It would appeaer frivolous also on the trading boards as "eventually" has already been manipulated by the moderators
... The inflated kudos posts and posters I quoted above all post mainly on the trading boards.
Astroturfing
Some astroturfers deploy sockpuppeting techniques, where a single person creates multiple identities to give the appearance of grassroots support.
Sockpuppets may post positive reviews about a product, attack participants that criticize the organization, or post negative reviews and comments about competitors, under fake identities.
Astroturfing businesses pay staff based on the number of posts they make that stay up without being flagged by moderators.
Persona management software may be used so that each paid poster can manage five to seventy convincing online personas without mixing them up

What on earth is your problem colic?
on 27-07-2013 07:46 AM
No problem....
...... I just noticed the kudos count read the premise of Kudos, wondered why the figures had been inflated and formed an opinion....
some more 2012 "kudos"

Given that the new boards have only been around for a short time I think any person who has managed to amass any largish number of kudos during this short time deserve credit.
Picking apart and denigrating is pointless.
The knowledge members like those listed by you have and impart to other members is fantastic. Good on them!
on 27-07-2013 07:58 AM
3600 of sparklz 3700 odd Kudos were awarded in 2012...does that make the 3 week date range?? ie before the new boards existance and were awarded by one moderator.
The 3 coopers link show that 130 kudos were awarded... The recent comments that were awarded are all dated 2012...is 2012 in the last 3 weeks date range??
on 27-07-2013 08:03 AM
So what?
That just means that if I am having an ebay problem and do a search and I find my answer in a post that coops did in 2012 I can give a kudos today for a post dated from 1 year ago.
It's not backdatng the kudos.
And anyway, so what? And yes I know I said that already but this is too petty...
