Do you think it's possible to be LGTB and a Christian?
What about other religions/faiths/beliefs?
Note: Please don't be nasty! Whatever your personal beliefs, I didn't start this thread so you could offend each other. Please be nice and try to be understanding. This is a public forum, anyone can read what is written here. Thanks!

And when all is said & done.
Perhaps the question should have been :
Is it possible to be a Christian - no matter what.

The answer to your question
Is it okay for lgtb to be
Christian is no.
Christianity has a very
Rigid and specific guide to
Life and all things including
Homosexuals
There is very specific
Instructions on dealing with
Homosexuals in the Bible which
Is the basis for Christianity
Christianity does not lend
Itself to enterprise bargaining
Rules are rules and are meant
To be adhered to
You cannot just pick and choose
What part of Christianity you
Wish to adhere to and delete
The rest
It just doesn't work that way

I think it does work that way for many Christian churches, who have moved from the dark ages, it's the Catholic churches I believe who are not supposed to welcome homosexuals though even some of them do (thank goodness)

So who is the final adjudicator on what the rules are for being a Christian? Can you be a Christian if you are divorced (the bible has some fairly specific things to say about marriage) Can you be a Christian if youallow women to preach in your church? Can you be a Christian if you don't believe in Adam and Eve or you don't believe in the virgin birth? Can you be a Christian if you are a Jehovah's witness, or a Christadelphian, or a member of the Plymouth Brethren?

No to all your questions
You can feign Christianity
But when it is time for your
Judgement day God will
Know exactly who and
What you are and what your
Life is worth and deal with you
Accordingly

Right.... Ok........ So nobody actually knows exactly what the rules are, we are all winging it according to our (or our church's) interpretation of the bible, and after we die God will tell us whether we got it right or wrong?

I'm not a religous person, but I thought Judgement Day was more about the type of person you are... a goodie or baddie. never realized it had anything to do with sexuality

Some conversations are worth the effort.
This one, no less than any other, has made interesting reading and given me much to think on.
