I have had a few posts removed, each time I have received a courtesy message explaining why it was removed, and have been able to communicate with the mod - yes, a real live person, not a bot!!! .

Let's hope they continue this trend and don't resort to liveworld's inept system.

Okay then - if they are responsible for the stuff up with the Groups they are useless ! She may be not be concerned about it but it's one of the worst problems I've encountered with the boards in 10 years.

If you were completely blocked from accessing any thread let alone posting would you still think it's funny am3 ?

I am not into sucking up to Lithium or ebay.

My comment is not directed at you Pepe - I've only mentioned am3.

How can anyone say how good Lithium are when they have just started to moderate ? Wait until there are problems ( one major problem has already been highlighted ) or until the slaps start rolling in.

Actually, Lion, I did wonder if they thought I had more than one ID.

While everything was still in transition mode I got one of those weird random emails telling me someone had replied to one of threads, but, strangely,  it adressed me by my old, original ID that I changed years ago and have never used since.

With this in mind I signed in with that ID and then  treied to access my groups - but that didn't work either.

She_el, that's not the problem.  I started the dolls house group.  It's an inactive group at the moment but because I was the leader I can't get in there now.  Another member was the co leader and she is unable to get into the group too.  I had to email her and let her know why.

It just seems as though group leaders are unable to acces their own groups.

Katymaty, what about you?  Or are you using one of your other IDs to get in?

Most au boards were 'off the air' for 6 or so days recently. Posters sometimes get bans for 7 or more days. Do we all go into meltdown then? No, life goes on as usual.

I have no issues with eBay or Lithium.

There is, as she ele pointed out, a thread about Group access issues on the NCE board. That is good and the proper place for it.

Not sure what to think so far about the moderation, I am not sure if they are taking a more relaxed position or just waiting to see how feral individual posters get before they remove them without warning.

I hope they are allowing a little more debate or difference of opinion to be tolerated rather han the heavy handed methods of live world.

Out of all the forums I am and have been part of over the years I have never seen anything like liveworld any where.

They seemed to take reports and slap people for nothing more than expressing an opposing position or disagreeing with someone and certainly didn't understand Oz humor or stirring a mate up as just having some fun.

Feeling a little vulnerability or perhaps unloved with not having a single slap since the new boards have been in place, I have no idea if any thing I have posted has been deemed inappropriate and removed or edited.

How long have they been watching and working out the personalities and who is part of a gang?

Will they warn us if we step over the line or will it be an instant suspension for a week or forever?

GSE have you tried a different browser or better still a different computer to get into your group.

The only group I am in while tricky is working fine, it did take some messing about first time round and kept saying the group was closed, it was just a case of needing a double log in.

just posted a suggestion on the new community thing that they give aussies  a one hour weekly session with a mod

same as canada boards.   wot's the chances.

Hawk, that is not the answer.  She_el's ID doesn't even appear in the members list in her group or another one I am a member of.

Mine apparently didn't either but I haven't checked with others yet.

Groups are called "closed" if they are private and you need to ask for membership.  As the leaders of groups are not there anymore, asking for membership is a waste of time.
