I have had a few posts removed, each time I have received a courtesy message explaining why it was removed, and have been able to communicate with the mod - yes, a real live person, not a bot!!! .
Let's hope they continue this trend and don't resort to liveworld's inept system.

EM you can tag any one, at the bottom left off each post it says in Blue add a tag

em - they can be used to tag posts with topics that interest you.. they would be good on the help boards.. postage over charges etc.
That would help you find the threads again on that topic.
I think the attention should be focused on why people feel the need to leave questionable tags, rather than on the poster receiving the tags.
There should be no need to advise others to turn their tag or kudos features off, just because a very small minority of other posters choose to misuse those features ( knowing very well they are circumventing rules).

Sorry EM, that was the issue of how to deal with problem tags..ie: report them .
I think you and I must have ours disabled as I can't see what Lion is saying is there

There are supposed to be tag 'clouds' also (not sure if ebay has one) where you can look and see what popular topics for tags are on your forrum and if you want to read a particular topic the tagged posts, the tagged posts are all there in one spot.

Yes, it's a bit wasted on a chat board. Em, they are so that you can tag information or posts that you might want to refer back to.
I was tagging some posts that would remind me which IDs use more than one ID on the boards and to avoid but some of them didn't like it.
In the future, I could have gone.. hmmm... now can I trust this person? I could hit my tag and then realise that maybe I shouldn't because it would show me all the multiple ID posters.
In truth it was cheeky. Normally you would use it for something on the help boards. Like tax info or how to deal with a payments issue.
You don't have to look at other peoples tag. You can turn them off.

I personally do not care what anyone tags me with............I wont see it..
No, you wont but every other poster with the tag feature on will. When mistruths are posted as tags, others reading the posts may believe the tag.

No joy in what I was wondering. I have my tags turned on and now need to google 'yellow flower' 😄 I know how to add a tag and where to find them - don't know where the cloud is, but I still dont get why it is set for other people to add tags. Even looking up tags on Wikipedia it seems that they should be done by the creator of the site/blog/post/whatever and open tags that allow others to add a tag are open to spam.
Thanks for all the help though. 🙂
edit: that explains a bit more, joono. I read your post after I posted.

Am3, I would never post a mistruth as a tag. It is not in my nature.
