A huge snake that has lived in the roof of an Australian home for 10 years has tried to upgrade to the master bedroom.
Trina Hibberd, from Mission Beach in Queensland, woke on Monday to find the 5.2m scrub python named Monty stretched from her lounge room to her bedroom.
Monty managed to turn on a light and knock over a lamp before snake-catcher Dave Goodwin arrived.

I think you'd notice if you had a 40kg snake in ya roof

I could almost guarantee there are no mice or possums in the family abode.

Living in Queensland?
How I wish I could. We have spent three winters in the Atherton Tablelands. It was heaven to run around in short sleeved tops and shorts in the middle of winter. 26C to 29C every day. When the temperature dropped to 19C, son-in-law lit the fire in the wood heater and declared it was cold.
This winter we have to stay in freezing Victoria for medical reasons. BRRRRRRR! I just bought a couple of fleecy lined tracksuits.
Snakes or no snakes, I wish I was up north.
