Living without a mobile phone

I can still remember my OH's call sign from back in 1967.

Not only did his day job include radios but he spent every waking hour at home playing with them too.

Dort No2 set up one of my earlier phones so that it would play one of 5 Roger Miller tunes dependant on who rang me.

 

You can't rollerskate in a buffalo herd (kids),

 

King of the road (mates and general),

 

Chugalag (closest PH mate/neighbour where I always end up Franz Liszt),

 

Little green apples (home phone)

 

or

 

Dang me (Mrs' mobile)......

Tackled cleaning a couple of cabinet drawers in the spare bedroom last week.....and in one of them I discovered about a dozen QSL cards that (now ex) hubby had designed for the CB club we belonged to....gosh.... thirty plus years ago.

 

Brought a smile to my face and a wave of nostalgia
