Loneliness

Hi all. It took me ages to get the courage to write this. I recently moved to Victoria, know no one, and am extremely lonely. I am a STRAIGHT married woman, but am at the stage where it is a marriage in name only. I am a young at heart 62 year old, look after myself, love a laugh (and a cry if needed LOL). I just adore my 3 little dogs, who are my best friends and the loves of my life. I love shopping, trash and treasure markets, my computer (which I'd be lost without LOL), cooking, music, etc.etc. I'd love to meet other women to have a coffee and "yak" with, go shopping with etc. etc. I am very down to earth and non judgemental...I have had tough times in my life and judge no one. Soooo...if there's anyone out there, I'd love to hear from you. Thank you for reading my ad, have a nice day and take care.

Re: Loneliness

No you are misunderstanding my point.

For someone brought up in earlier times and with many liberties we now have in comparison, which I think is sometimes too much, certain people can take it too far.

Hence I think the OP may simply not want to be mistaken for something they are not especially if they have seen many individuals lacking in decorum, jumping to conclusions etc. And perhaps been burnt on other forums.

Re: Loneliness

No, you are misunderstanding my point. Individuals lacking in decorum or who jump to conclusions has nothing to do with being gay, just as it has nothing to do with being black.

The fact that you saw fit to equate talking liberties too far with sexuality speaks volumes about you.

You're way off track, sorry I can't help you.

Re: Loneliness

I don't think you can help anyone - at least sexually, and therein lies the root of your prejudice.

Re: Loneliness

She's in Vic now, it's called the Dykesonbikes ride or the St Kilda Gay & Lesbian Pride march.

The above is not in reference to the OP post.

Re: Loneliness

Scouring the internet, looking for something to get bent out of shape over. Sheesh.

i hope the OP DOES read the comment, and gets a good laugh over it. Welcome to the internet, a place where some people will try to make others look awful, using their own twisted unhappiness.

The information is useful, and lets others know that she is not looking for a date of any kind. PERIOD.

I moved to another country(with my husband) when I was 25 years old. I was lonely too. Age has nothing to do with making new friends.
