I haven't had one of those 'computer problem' calls for ages. I used to get them a lot....when I didn't own a computer. ๐
My mother gets the solar panel calls. I used to get door to door salesmen about it.
I still get someone at the door trying to get me to switch my gas or electricity or both to some company tinpot I've never heard of.

The calls I get ARE from Telstra even if very few have Oz accents....they are AU phone numbers and I've run them through the reverse phone lookup site. They might not be scammers but I find them a nusiance as they phone early in the day,,,and often. They started phoning me after I left Telstra and don't seem to get the message I'm not interested. They did their dash when the NBN came in.
To imastawka: Thanks for reminding me about the Do Not Call Register. I thought I was on it but it was probably under a different name a long time ago so I've re-registered.

OK ..... I get heaps of calls here with Au numbers, they are simply re directed from an overseas call centre ...... I am assuming you have phoned Telstra and compained,so now you are on the do not call register, next time you get a call, ask them for their Telstra id number, then report them for harrassing you

I only purchased a smart phone less than a year ago.
Use it for calls, texts, the odd photo and every now and then the Gps, and saying good night to Siri.
I wonder why and what people do on them, is it games, facebook, I don't know.
What ever it is, it seems to consume them where they are oblivious to the world around them.
