Having been diagnosed with diabetes I'm on a low carb diet. But I miss pizza! Not the bought ones (yuk) but my home made gourmet ones with fetta, spinach leaves, onions, capsicums.
But I've found a pizza crust recipe made from cauliflower!
I'm going to make it tonight. Fingers crossed.
Has any one made this before?

No I haven't. My husband also got diagnosed with the same thing and he made nachos out of pita bread, you almost can't tell the difference!

How is your husband managing his diabetes? I hope he is feeling better.
Pita bread still contains carbs which is converted into sugar. I try to have less than 30g of carbs a day. It's brutal but the diet has decreased my fasting blood sugar from 6.5 to 4.7 in 2 months and I'm feeling so much better.

Yeah my husband hasn't got it yet, just an intolerance to sugar which leads to diabetes if he's not careful. He's doing alright, misses some food..

A medium sized pita bread contains approximately 25g carbs.

OP.....you can still enjoyed baked pastries, pies etc...I've just found this for you and a link to recipes.
Need to increase your fiber intake? High-fiber flour and white bean flour offer up to 8 grams per 1/4 cup. Want to up the amount of protein you eat in a day? Soy flour provides more than twice the amount of all-purpose flour. Want to make a cake or cookie recipe more moist and rich-tasting? Try almond meal (it's also much lower in carbohydrate than most flours). And if gluten intolerance keeps you from enjoying most baked goods, there are flours for that, too; mix up your next pan of brownies with a gluten-free baking mix.
Diabetic living - don't know if the site is any good, but it's a place to start. I love my food, and I cook everything from scratch so I'd be researching diabetic recipes...the other cuisine I'd look at is Lebanese....lots of lemon, olive oil and healthy grains like chick peas.
