William Tyrrell disappeared from his grandmother's house on Benaroon Drive in Kendall at 10.30am.
ABC
Article dated September 17
Officers from the Sex Crimes Squad of the NSW Police State Crime Command joined the investigation yesterday.
Detectives from the specialist squad were deployed from Sydney to head up a strike force of more than 30 officers, including local detectives and investigators from further afield.
Their deployment points to growing concerns that William has met with foul play, rather than simply wandered off into the bush and become lost.

Of course they were. A missing child is a red flag, and all branches begin work immediately.
I remember it from the time, when the sex crime squad was brought in to the area as well.
When was that call to crimestoppers about Speddings past?. A few days after William T went missing.

When the public was informed, you mean.
The work of that division has nothing to do with any person, it begins investigating imediately.
This did not happen in past times, but it does now.

you know so many police resources could be put to other uses if they just let all the online armchair experts solve all the crimes for them....

Why? Because I insist that police are on the ball?
They don't sit around and mosey on down when a little child disappears.
You have me mixed up with post # 161.
I have not mentioned any names, but I have mentioned what I know about normal police procedure.

Nope, not confused
Just simply because of some of your replies.
A person doesn't have to be charged to be kept in files either.
Re checks, the police do checks for blue cards too, and many a time someone slips through who shouldn't be given one.

Reads like you have more info about police procedures than the
average Joe Blow, is all

No I don't mean that, I meant (as it read) when the sex crimes squad was deployed/arrived in Kendall.
We are all the public here, no one knows anything for sure. MSM articles are all we have to go on, which have a bit more credibilty than personal assumptions, theories etc.
