Malcolm to welcome Charles & Camilla

The royal couple will visit Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney, Albany and Perth during their time in Australia from November 10 to 15.

Mr Turnbull, a former chairman of the Australian Republican Movement and author of two books on the issue, has issued a statement saying he is looking forward to the visit.

"Lucy and I will be delighted to welcome The Prince and Duchess," he said.

Mr Turnbull has previously spoken about the "celebrity appeal" of the Royal family, saying it was not enough to justify retaining a foreign monarch as Australia's head of state.

I wonder if public turn-outs will be similar to that of either of his sons recent visits.

I should get my OH to take her mother to see them as she is a staunch royalist,(saves clippings of DI,the queen

and the rest except for Camilla).

She doesn't like herrrr!! for some reason,(she has some choice words for her "behaviour" and says that

"st***pet could never be considered a royal as she wormed her way into her position by pleasing Charlie)shok.gif

The correct terms of address are Your Royal Higness, and then, respectively, after that, Sir or Ma'am.

Just in case you bump into them at the afternoon tea at Government House, and get chatting.
