Sara really tugged on the old heart strings tonight. I must admit, Marco's story brought back memories for me too but I couldn't come up with anything that I could replicate. Maybe my nannas cup cakes and peaches and custard and mum's bread pudding but that wouldn't have got me in to finals week.
Possibly eating cockles in vinegar on the beach, but no cooking involved.
Beautiful turkey soup after Christmas? Yes! but not enough time for that. What would you have done.
Well done Matthew. I hope he finds a new directionin cooking.

Matthew gone!! And bug eyes is still there
I know my childhood food memories would not have gotten me
into the finals.
My mum boiled everything til it was grey. Dunno how we survived really

I wouldn't say my mum was a great cook either but she fed the family. It would be harder to cook gourmet style for a family of six with money being tight but we were always fed well.
I remember one disaster though. She made a black treacle tart. It was rock solid and you couldn't even cut it with a knife. She threw it out in the garden to feed the sparrows but they weren't interested and it sat there for a year.
No MasterChef tonight. I don't know what I'm going to watch after next week.

The Biggest Loser is coming back with Fiona Falkiner as host.
Michelle Bridges won't be on, as she and the Commando are expecting
a rug rat baby. Tiffany Hall stepping in, I believe.

Oh no! What about Hayley Lewis? I liked her.

I liked Hayley too. Don't know why she's not coming back.
But I like Tiffany Hall as a trainer.
