Was everyone else yelling at the tv.....NOOOOOO, DONT TURN THE FISH!!
-------------------------
Yes, the editing just leaves you knowing there will be a problem.
I've been reading through this thread, only started watching half way through the series.
Think Billie will probably win but surely her hair could go up in a bun? It's annoying, flicking everywhere.
Jessica I think must be a good cook, but she cries a lot.
Personally I keep looking out to see what bandana she will wear in her hair next. She's got style.
I know I must be behind the times, not up to date with the latest but does anyone else ever find the new way of presenting food a bit underwhelming?
Don't get me wrong. Some dishes look great, but there have been some desserts served up where it looks more like leftover crumbs and pieces on a plate AFTER someone has been nibbling away at it. There's hardly anything there and they have taken 2 hours to make it.
I would be embarrassed to serve some of them but now I know if something breaks in pieces, just serve the pieces spread out, pipe a bit of cream in between and say it is deconstructed,
Even an old dog like me can learn new tricks.

Everyone set for tonights ep?
I only had time to watch up to when Reynold left last ep, sad, but hes a huge talent..
The judges said some really great things to him at the end..
Am looking forward to seeing what will happen- will fridges be spoken to? will long hair swish over shoulders? will someone sabotage someone else? or maybe the judges will behave themselves haha
or will these last 3 all just get their acts together, and, you know- cook? lol

I had already almost forgotten the show wasn't over. It feels a bit that way after last weeks show and especially now when I think two of the finalists shouldn't even be there. No doubt I am missing what is so good about them.
Go Billy!

Agree with you, and that way of presenting on half the plate only, to me it seems too trying to be something.
Well, looking forward to tonight especially as the room has stopped spinning for me. Oh it's good to feel good again.
Am I right in saying they all cook and the best dish goes to the final. Then the remaining two cook in an elimination?

So I've had a theory for a while now that they have edited Georgia to make her look ditzier and a bit more useless than she actually is. She is clearly a pretty amazing cook, although slightly emotional under pressure lol.
I'm really happy she's in the finale, I'm sure Billie is the far better cook and should win, but you never know what could happen on the night. Cant wait for tomorrow.

Quite agree, Billie should win. Tonight was a good decision by the judges.
It was all about the dish and flavour first.
Jessica was unsure about the combination of those ingredients in the dessert.
But no doubt she will pursue her passion.
And a couple of nice girls left with a big talent for cooking.
Should be fun, I'm looking forward to it.

Excellent ep tonight!
It might just be me, but I think the dishes really reflected the contestants personalities..
Billies was based on her memories, and showed subtle and confident technique, but also restraint...She was able to think of an alternative when the lamb shank meat wouldnt roll..very clever to serve 2 different lambs..her dessert was playful and pretty, and showed that rhubarb can be modern..Imo, she is the one to beat.
Georgias was based on showing off all the techniques shes learnt, but she had serious time issues..I thought her main looked like a mess and although I would normally choose fish over lamb or pork, I dont thnk I would have enjoyed all those ingredients on one plate that Georgia combined together. Although I think her dessert would have tasted delicious, I thought it looked odd on the plate- the yoghurt rectangle was too big..?
Jessicas was based on her love and knowledge on big flavours, and steady technique. That pork looked outstanding, and the plating was clean and really confident- she has come so far with her confidence..but her dessert sounded quite odd to me- maybe 1 flavour too many? or maybe grapefruit, white choc and popcorn really DONT go!- its not a combo I would ever think of..I wish shed gone for, say figs, and a lighter cake, or some type of cheese?..I thought it was really true to her though..and shes got a lot to be proud of..
Bring on tomorrow nght..

A good result tonight. I'm happy with the outcome but channel 10 must have stuffed up and shown an ad for the eastern states when they said that Billyie contested the others over two nights. Never mind, I knew she would go through.
