How true is it though? Time will tell.
Glad to see Sarah Clare gone home tonight. She was annoying me. Just like when she was here the first time.

She knew she was coming back on the show. She would have had at least a few weeks notice. No Masterchef series has ever not required tempered chocolate. Why wouldn't she learn how to temper chocolate? I don't know how hard it is in reality, but it seems to be a fairly simple process.

I have wondered that with every series. Every series there is at least once challenge with tempered chocolate, yet so many will cry "I have never tempered chocolate before". Yet they claim to have watched most series, and know that most will have something with tempered chocolate. I have no sympathy for them. I have only been watching from season 4, yet every season there is tempered chocolate. '
If I was going on there, I would master tempered chocolate.....and rissotto........the death dish. And chocolate spheres.....because they look cool.

I am slowly coming around to the judges. Mostly because that Melissa wears great earrings. I like a bit of razzamatazz in the way TV presenters dress.
I'd say Reynold is in the running to win, he seems very meticulous with some more advanced skills and techniques, which judges always drool over.
I enjoyed the Katy Perry episode. I knew the name, didn't know what she looked like till she came in. Didn't mind her fooling around and having a bit of fun. Had a good laugh when she shouted out something to the effect of 10 minutes to go and your whole life depends on it. What did annoy me was her constant (well, twice at least) use of the words 'with child' but what annoyed me more was that Jock using it. What's wrong with the word pregant, for heaven's sakes? Who says with child? A bit put on in my opinion. Loved her dress though, fantastic choice.
And I love Poh's cooking. To me, she comes across as an excellent cook, quite exacting, which is why she runs into trouble.
So often I am just glad it is them and not me in there. If someone handed me figs and lemon myrtle and said cook something right now, I wouldn't have a clue without google. Or cook something Spanish/Vietnamese etc in about 60 minutes. No hope. Even American had me stumped. What do they eat? Hot dogs, hamburgers or some vague southern stuff I know little about. I'd do a Poh.
I am always amazed that for all the tension etc, we never seem to see episodes on these cook shows where someone actually gives up or fails to deliver a dish.

Something else you don't see is the contestants trying to gouge each other's eyes out. I don't watch other reality shows, but you see on the ads them wanting to kill each other, and generally just hating on each other. You can see the venom on their faces.
Masterchef contestants always support each other and are genuinely upset when someone goes home. Even when they are cooking against each other, say for immunity, they still support each other and are genuinely happy for the other person if they win.
I enjoy watching them cook. I don't enjoy people fighting over it, like on the other shows.
