Masterchef 2020

Anyone watching it ?

Great to see some earlier faces and good memories.

I always liked Jess, Callum, and Reynold.

Very smart to have Gordon Ramsay kick it off seeing as the old judges are no longer with the show.

Looks like some interesting recipes to start off with.

So glad Emelia won........... by far the better cook IMO.

I warmed to the judges but it's not the same as familiarity.

However the cosiness and friendliness of the MC set is something I like very much compared to so much rubbish on TV.

I believe Emelia is a worthy winner.

But, like Mythbusters, the procedure might be rigorous, but the initial premise is often flawed.

Re: Masterchef 2020

I'm glad Emelia won. I didn't like her the first time around, but I warmed to her in this series. She had grown up a lot and had lost a lot of the smugness she had.

I was at work, so had to keep checking the live feed on news.com.au in secret (not supposed to have our phones on us at work). As soon as I read about Laura leaving the freezer open, especially after having the burn issue, I knew she had a high chance of not winning. I was secretly cheering inside!

When I got home at 1am, I watched the last 15 minutes of it. I loved how they hugged. Not sure why they had to social distance when they were all living together, sharing rooms, and only being in the house or the MC kitchen. It made no sense and I believe it made it hard for them when someone was sent home, where they had to do that ridiculous elbow thing..........which FYI, makes you less than 1.5 metres from the person!

Another year wrapped up. Anyone watching the Junior Masterchef? I've not seen the kids show before, but I'm not sure how I'd like being shown up by a bunch of 10 year olds!

Soooo happy for Emelia.   She certainly deserved the win.

Ages 9 - 14.....can they be that good?

Apparently they will leave adults and some chefs for dead. I wish I'd watched the season 10 years ago, or whenever it was. Apparently it was jaw dropping.

I'm guessing we'll be guilt tripped big time! Guilted for being someone who thrives on "mummy meals".
