Misheard Song Lyrics

I know we had a thread like this before but I thought it worth doing a new one.

The station I listen to of a morning has a competition going, they play you the start of the song and you have to come in with the first words of the lyrics.

The easy option is, the first 3 words $100, the hard option is the first 7 words, $500.

This morning I thought I had it with INXS - Need You Tonight  - โ™ช all you got is this moment โ™ช

I always though it was "in the gardens of Smolensk"  Smiley Embarassed

Don't ask me why, I just always did. Until this morning

I'm awarding it to myself at myself

Misheard Song Lyrics

In my first year at school we used to sing hymns at assembly - one of them was:

Gentle Jesus meek and mild

Look upon a little child,

Pity my simplicity,

Suffer me to come to thee.

I never gave much thought to the 'suffering' but I always wondered why the mice needed to be pitied implicitly.
