Mohammad Albederee

Mohammad has had a seizure, severe chest pain and is now unconscious. I have lit a candle for this young man while I wait for the sad news of his passing. Shame on you, Mr Dutton.

This link was from a few days ago and only touches the surface of what this man has suffered whilst in our care, What have we become?

Re: Mohammad Albederee

He was promised by Immigration officials  that if he broke his hunger strike he would be brought to the mainland for medical care, including the treatment of the  injuries sustained in the assault that occurred in July last year.

Re: Mohammad Albederee

I am involved with asylum seekers and refugee support. What I share is public knowledge whereas what I don't share is not.

Re: Mohammad Albederee

Sorry Bluecat, I find this "part un-confidential / part confidential " story too disjointed to believe.

I particularly question : "He became really distressed so he cut his stomach open to prove there was nothing in it."

How was he stitched up following this procedure?

Re: Mohammad Albederee

i am genuinely sorry for your sadness, you are obviously passionate about the plight of the assylum seekers.

Reading that article leaves me thinking we are not getting the real facts from either side - i do believe he was roughed up, but have to question the motives/ sanity of any person who would deprive themselves of food then cut their stomach open to prove a point.
