After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this
lol, the measuring reminds me of a funny story.
I took my kids a couple of weeks ago for xrays for their braces. My daughter needed her jaw xray as well as her wrist to check her growth. As part of checking the growth, they also measure their height and there is a tape measure attached to the xray machine that pulls down to the floor. So the doc pulls the tape down and measures her.... 6 foot 
ummmm no, my son is 6 foot but she's definitely not. So then I'm over there checking it out, then another doctor and doesnt matter what we do, it still says 6 foot lol. I eventually have a look at the bottom end of the tape and someone has cut off 20cm, I guess it was damaged) and then just attached the metal piece back on and left it like that 
Even funnier after that was the wild goose chase through the hospital trying to find another tape and all the while I'm trying to tell him to just deduct the 20cm and it will be right
My beloved tape measure lol Quite a heavy one though. Mum had it engraved so no one could claim it for their tool box lol
Amber I have one that I keep in my desk drawer but unfortunately everyone knows that one's there and they never, ever put it back after they use it
