My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

The bench idea is great....just make sure you get something that is waterproof if it is to go in the bathroom.

None of this chipboard with unsealed edges or you will be in trouble if it gets wet.

Lyndal Mr. Painterman/Builder and Mr Tapemeasureman will be onto that. It's a matter of how much room will be available due to the bathtub going, the shower is going to be a bit bigger plus the new vanity is bigger then the one we have now. I don't want the bathroom to be over crowded so we will see after everything is fitted.

Re: My day

I like your fittings and the idea about the bench!

As for the mop, what kind is it? I use a Norwex one now but have a huge amount of tiles, so it's worth it. Some of those flat looped mops will crumble away after a bit, so might be it but surely you would have noticed before?

Hope the new mop works well.

A month seems a long time.. if you mop the floor two or 3 times and the floor is still making your feet black, then obviously not a mop problem. Bit of a mystery.

It is a mystery, I am prepared to try this and see what happens. If the problems continues at least I have tried.

what cleaner are you using?

Just water on this new vinyl.  The mop is the same mop I used prior to the vinyl, so it would have had a combination of Handy Andy, pine-o-clean and probably other cleaning products used with that mop.

hmmmm.....i agree with am3 -

i think a month is a bit long if you clean the floor

regularly.   maybe try using hot water and vinegar

if the new mop thing doesnt work.

Re: My day

Az I use the old hand ring out mop, I don't like the floor being wet for too long so find with ringing the cloth mop out myself it's dry in no time.

Re: My day

Seems very odd that vinyl cannot handle a little normal cleaner residue. Freddie, you will need to buy a special mop just for the kitchen if it does turn out to be residue. Most peculiar. Good luck hope it works out.

You see, I thought that vinyl didn't like soap much, but that it would get sticky. Not black.

I agree Amber, I expect the vinyl to be cleaned with something other then just water.

Re: My day

Did they give you any cleaner or recommend one? Or just say go buy a new mop?
