My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Thanks Deb, the Princess is 90 Christmas Eve.

She will still use the walker in her room, I just to hope and pray she doesn't fall in there and be left on the floor for hours before someone comes.

Re: My day

Did you manage to speak to anyone in there about looking after her better Freddie?

Bushy, Mr F had oral cancer in the hard palate, he was operated on in Sydney. We arrived back home 3 weeks later and about 2 weeks after that I found the lump in my breast. So we were both back in Sydney me for surgery and Mr F for his radiation. Then I had my radiation in Sydney. We were away from home for about 6 months.

Deb, I did speak to the Director and requested he enter the details in her care plan regarding her needing to be taken for her meals and activities in her wheel chair. He assured me that would be done, so we will see.

Re: My day

Debra My bathroom is a nightmare, it's on what would have once the back verandah of the house. It's 17 feet long but only 6 feet deep, moving the window from it is is not an option, so I just have to work around what is already there.

The whole Idea of those places is that people are supposed to get the care they need, it's just a worry that you don't need ATM

Re: My day

It can be hard juggling things around to fit, our main bathroom I think must be about 6' wide, just wide enough to put a claw foot bath against the back wall under the window. Showers are the hardest in an existing bathroom because of the specifications about windows.

So your bathroom is long but narrow? Ours is similar I think

Re: My day

Bushy, I think in the back of my mind that is why I want to get the reno's done and out of the way so we can enjoy them in case something unforseen happens. Losing 3 Brothers in 3yrs and 2 months has made me realize how our time here on earth is so very very precious.
