After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

I need someone to come and fix my reticulation. It's still working but the lawn sprinklers don't rotate the way they are supposed to. I have to get out there and turn them the way I want them to go every time the lawn starts to go crunchy.
I love jasmine, Amber. We had a good climber but it was removed when the new house was built. I must get another plant.
One thing you need to know is what grows well in your area, otherwise you will be wasting your time trying to keep plants alive that aren't going to make it.

I don't know Bushies. We don't get frosts here, well hardly ever. Our climate is more mediterranean.

Mine is one extreme to the other high 30's in Summer with very little rainfall ... Minus temps in Winter with average rainfall

That's true. Good soil here, temperate climate, haven't killed too much yet...shouldn't say that maybe.
as a kid there was a lot of the Indian jasmine growing over the front of the house. There is some up at the local school, reminds me of being young when life was nice and easy.

jasminoides, that should read.
most jasmines are moderately to extremely frost-hardy, depends on the type.
When we first bought star or Chinese jasmine, we were told by another customer not to as it would pull our house down. Well, it didn't. The star jasmine doesn't get thick woody strands but stays light and supple.

The fence is a fair way from the back of the house but yes I do walk up the back quite often
