After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Hi Sandy waves ~~~~~~~~~~~
J I couldn't in all honesty recommend him after this his paint job I couldn't fault, but this has been a nightmare. Tomorrow i'm going to tell him when he arrives I want the bathrrom finished before he leaves tomorrow. We just can't go on without an operation bathroom any longer. He leaves at 3p.m. every day instead of staying and finishing off what he is doing, he arrives the next morning and goes onto do something else instead of finishing what he was part way through the day before.

That's awful. I have a job here that involves someone to have a serious look at the problem.
Whatsit has a very bad habit of bringing home pub tradies at mates rates. They come along, they average a quote, they have a beer or three and then you never see them again.
He arranged one to come and look at the old dishwasher. He turned up at 11:00 am with a can of VB in his hand. Far out! I left them to it and came back an hour later and he asked me how you turn the dishwasher on because he wasn't used to that model. New dishwasher now of course.
I told sortof that seriously, if he brought home another pub tradie I'd sell the house.
He's home again on Sunday. Jobs lined up.

This kind of stuff (up) is why hubby won't have tradies in.
went to see Tosca again, this time with hubby. Different Tosca. She was so bad it was simply a revelation as to how one voice could possibly be sharp and flat at the same time.
orchestra and the men still superb, but Tosca...ouch

Good morning all.
Had to laugh at your story joono .
You must really love your opera amber.
Good luck today freddie - hope it is all finished by the end of the day.
Frank picked up my new bifocals on Monday and I have to go and have them adjusted for me today. I personally think the reading part is a bit low but I still have to adjust to them.
Feeling a bit yuk - woke this morning with slight UTI - must remember to drink more in this warm weather. Meantime I am having ural.
Have a good one everyone ...

Sandy, buy some cranberry juice or grab some cranberry vitamin caps.
Yesterday I heard him drop a tool onto the tiles in the bathroom, now we have 2 tiles in the shower recess with 2 large chips out of them. Mr F is so upset over the hassles. He put a power point in the wrong place it's where the vanity mirror goes, it's even crooked.
I don't understand why he said he could do the job, because it's obvious he can't.

Lovely refreshing rain falling here this morning, very much needed
Pleased your Internet prob is now sorted Sandy, was wondering where you were and hoping everything was ok.UTI's a re horrible, hope it passes quickly for you
Freddie from what you have been writing,I think it may be time for some words with your reno man ( nice of course ). Can the chipped tiles be replaced? A hassle I know 😞 IMO he has taken on a job he is really not capable of doing, unless there have been expected probs he really shouldn't be charging you more that the original quote.

When he arrived this morning I told him about the 2 tiles, I told him I want them both removed plus the 2 in the toilet he put in the wrong way, he's doing that now. I also told him about the power point, but, I told him I want him to leave everything else and concentrate on getting the shower finished so we can use it.
We will see what the go is at the end of today, if he hasn't progressed I will pay him up and get someone in to finish it. I put a mat on the bathroom floor before all this happened for him to put his tools on I can still hear the tools being put on the tiles.
