After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

From what you have written there has definitely been a high level of incompetence which has led to unnecessary delays and added stress for yourself and Mr F. You were given a quote for a completed job, so imo the extra you have paid to the builder is mare than fair.
Yes Tas, the builder has cause us a few headaches. When the house was lifted part of the bathroom floor (which was not part of the restumping) was lifted as well. This should never have happened and was due to the builder's incompetence re not doing a cpl of necessary things BEFORE he lifted the house. He and a cpl of his "tradies" then used sledge hammers to try to knock the floor back into place. This action has resulted in a smashed concrete slab and many smashed slate tiles plus a huge amount of work now required to repair it all. So don't mention contracts and licensed, registered builders to me grrrrrr
It is fortunate that you used a company that is licensed and registered correctly or you would have to pursue them yourself, with probably no satisfaction.

I am sure you don't but you would not have any redress if you hadn't used a registered and licensed person. At least you can now pursue it through the avenues available.

Not much choice when re stumping, you can't use a non registered, non licensed builder, it's against the law

Good morning! Freddie, perhaps he didn't put silicone around the shower screen where it meets the floor tiles? That may have been one of the jobs he didn't do when he packed up and left.
I'm so angry I want to scream.
I just checked his linkedIn profile he claims to be a Building Consultant/Builder OZ Building Consultant Pre Purchase Inspection/Defects Report.
No Az the bottom of the shower screen is sealed. We had a plumber working on a property he purchased over the road come and look at it this morning he said it's the way he has the tiles in the recess sitting, they should be angled toward the drain. A tiler is coming in the morning to see what he can do with the mess.

That is correct azure. Trying to recoup costs due to faulty workmanship is near impossible should the person not be reg and insured. It's the insurance that is most likey to pay out on any faulty or damaged works. Also vital to have a signed contract by both parties.
Freddie where is the water eacaping from? Around the screen?

You would think he would have known that? and the floor would already have been sloped for the previous tiles? or was it a base? Hopefully someone can fix it for you and perhaps you have some claim against the guy as he was paid for something he neglected to do?
However, the stress is probably not worth it.

it's from the door panel and the 2 panels either side of the door.

Purchase Inspection/Defects Report.
Wouldn't you have to be licensed to do this?
