My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Christmas shopping almost finished, thank god.

Have decided to have a very low key Christmas celebration with my sisters and the kids this weekend, its been traditional for us to have our Christmas the weekend before but we have decided not to go with lunch or dinner and just have a small get together Sunday afternoon and exchange gifts. Having lost both my dad and my grandfather this year it just doesn't seem the same and none of us have the energy to organise the usual event. I'm sure it will be nice though, we still have plenty of kids to spoil which always puts a smile on my face.

Christmas day will be here with hubby's family. Haven't even started thinking about that one yet Smiley Surprised

Where's everyone else spending their Christmas day?

Re: My day

***push shove trying  to get a slice***  Feeding time at the zoo.

Missed out again.   Had the elbow pads on too (because I knew someone had played Netball in the past Smiley LOL)

Oh well, I won't be adding that extra kilo or two to this lissome body.

I won't need to walk along the river path to lose those unwanted "where did they come from kilos".

That cake looked scrumptious.  Thanks Tasfleur for the  offer.

Perhaps a private Ladies Afternoon Tea in the New Year with a mode of decorum should be considered.

In time, I will be interested in your reporting of the life-giving care for the Fuschia .

Off to bed soon.  ***waves and will chat with Bushie and Sandy in the early morn***

Re: My day

That'll be nice Freddie.

I'm contemplating doing a roast for Christmas day (which I've never done) seeing as I have my new oven, but I'm still not too sure. I'm edging toward the (easier) bbq. Hoping for a warm day so we can be outside and the kids can swim.

Re: My day

Well. I got virtualy nothing on my list done today, Faffed about for most of the morning, then had a loooong phone convo with my sister, then a friend dropped in for coffee (well, wine really ๐Ÿ™‚ ) Hopeless!

We put in, what is suppose you would call, a frameless shower when we did our bathroom a couple of years ago. It's basically an open U shaped shower with just a single sheet of glass on one side. We have a drain, with tile insert, that runs across the width on the open side. I love it! Even though it's not a huge shower space it feels enormous because of the openness.

We got the plans for our small extension back today. We hope to increase the size of a bedroom, put in a small ensuite and replace and extend the deck/balcony. Now we just have to get council approval, which might be a bit tricky. It seems the 37 year old extension had DA approval but never got a final occupancy certificate, and the plans don't look a lot like what is here ๐Ÿ˜ž
Anyway the draftsman/builder we are dealing with seems to think it will be ok, but fingers crossed.
