My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Freddie, have you considered a small amount of colour in the curtain?

I picture a short, pelmet style curtain in the same blue as your accessories, maybe even blue and white chevron? Leaves the window area for light, keeps it uncluttered and dresses the top a bit.

AM3, some people seem to like that mindless vacuumimg pool stuff, lol, however, for now, I have a 14 yo willing to do it while she listens to the ipod. Woman LOL

Ok can you get one from Bunnings.

Might be more expensive as it comes with an iPod.

Re: My day

I love that idea Az, but I think the problem would be matching the colour

This is the colour of the paint I painted the pots the one on the right at the bottom seaside

How rude of me.

Good morning all,

Beautiful here - warm - sunny - light breeze.

Lunch with friends - easy relaxed afternoon.

Have a good one - everyone.

Re: My day

That seaside is an in colour atm, I think you could find one to match ๐Ÿ™‚

I am looking for accessories to give my kitchen a colour boost and can't decide which ones to buy, lol. I like uncluttered on the bench tops so keep changing my mind, it's my favourite shade of blue.

Re: My day

Hi there, ho there.

Just unravelled myself from countless bathroom window curtains.Smiley Frustrated

Well I have been looking at window treatments.  But then I get sidetracked.  And sidetracked again and again.

What I have sort of come up with aligns with Azurelines thoughts.

Use the window frame as a picture frame.  Use a polyester-type fabric not gathered across the rod.  There must be some shower curtains around that could be adapted.  Not forgetting that the shower curtains could be turned sideways if width is a worry.  And they are easy to wash and rehang.  It could be the palest aqua colour.

I can "see it in my eye".  But difficult to convey.

.............................................

Popped into Kopes' quiz. Answered one. Then got sidetracked. Then watched the Conan Doyle period tv show (he of Sherlock Holmes fame). Then went to bed.  Currently reading Farewell to Arms.  What a picture he sears into my mind.

Up with the birds, and have been watching and listening to them.  The male dove wants to play "mothers and fathers" but she won't come to the party.  I could hear a goldfinch for the first time in a while. A male bower bird has flown past on a few occasions.

Also a mummy Cicada Bird feeding its baby - which looks as big as its parent.  It's been interesting watching her over the past couple of weeks.  Instead of coming back to the now-flying young, she is holding back and encouraging the young to fly to her.

Don't know what I'll do today.  But plan on checking out the neighbourhood's Chrissie lights this evening.

Re: My day

Hello everyone ๐Ÿ™‚
Sometimes I wish I had a pool to have to clean but then I walk to the end of my street and think nah, that great big salty one, complete with waves, will do me lol

I have been writing my shopping list for next week. It's about a mile long and scary! I think I'll attempt it tomorrow morning before the crowds.

I should be downstairs cleaning and prettying up for guests but can't get terribly motivated. Might go for a walk instead, it's a lovely day here.

Have a great day everyone.
