After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

The Princess was on her very best behaviour today, hair colour and a spin around the home was the order of the day. I didn't get to spotlight to have a look at their offerings maybe tomorrow. Sandy we haven't been out for dinner yet we may do that in the NY I think it's an open voucher so no use by date.

This weather is so contrary. Very pleasant morning, humid afternoon and now coolish.
Lawns got mowed. Edges are a little adventuresome. Minor trimming tomorrow. Maybe.
The mauve garden around the still-empty fish pond is progressing well. The purple salvias are lush and flowering in the regal colour. Pink/mauve/white alyssum are filling out space very well.
But the red salvias are a near complete failure. So for that red/green effect that I had proposed. I "planted" red baubles on bamboo skewers along side the viburnums. That's it. Done.
Watched the young male neighbour dash out to his backyard, shirtless.................
..........................retrieving his washing from the newly acquired pup Staffy. Naughty doggie.
Will dine on some corned silverside with appropriate veges, beans - not cabbage.
Then off to have a look at some perty lights.
See ya.

Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. The sleigh. All missing.
On a very, very windy night, I noticed leaves and twigs flying off the trees as I listened to the Carols by Candlelight on a neighbouring oval.
And there, just above, was Santa hanging on for deer dear life the reins to Rudolph flying across the sky. Someone must have used helium to inflate the plastic figures. And they got "away" from a display somewhere.
I like to think it was little bit of Christmas "Magic".

Hey there aps.
Again, you seem to be up at all hours.
You mentioned the other day, of visiting your parents for Chrissie. Are you staying with them now? Are you in the same bedroom that you grew up in and your Mum left a few reminders of your childhood on display therein.
When I cleared out the old family home a couple of years ago, my now 50 year old brother's childhood microscope, chemistry set, Homer Simpson keyring and countless Uni Math textbooks had to be considered for disposal. He took everything back to his home except the textbooks.

Morning Aps and DEB and anyone else who is around
Aps Once summer is finished, I will re vamping my front garden, not sure what I am going to plant there, so ideas suggestions are always welcome. Plants must be able to cope with full sun and also be frost tolerant.

No, it was left as it was until a few years ago when one of my brothers sons moved into it.
I have a few things but bot a huge amount. We moved out from the UK when I was 14 so some good things got left or given away
and other things got brought out that should have been left.
Funnily enough, I delved into a few boxes the other day of my old Psychology, Sociology and Statisics books from Uni.
I'm going to put them on ebay and get rid of them.
