I bought my son a couple of tshirts online on Monday, they promised delivery before Christmas which I was a bit skeptical about, but I just got an email saying they were ready to be collected from my post office, yay. Thats all the Christmas shopping finished......today I have to start with the cooking and cleaning

Good morning to everyone on this Christmas Eve.
I have walked into town and finished my shopping - yay! Even bought almost everything for our daughter's Boxing Day bbq - only have to pick up a bread stick.
Not worried about the cleaning punch - I've done enough of that, but now I have to attack the cooking. I'm in charge of the cauli in cheese sauce, the gravy, pav, trifle, plum pudding and anything that goes with them so I don't really have a lot to do today. Pav will have to be done in the morning, trifle is half done - just need to add custard today and cream in the morning, plum pudding is cooked but I do need to make my daughter a birthday cake.
Enjoy your day with the princess freddie and the market with you dil lurker.
Hope everyone else is nearly organised ..... enjoy your day and be calm and safe ....

Good morning Ladies,
Sounds like eveyone is busy with "Chrissie stuff" this morning. I have just put a large chook and a leg of lamb in the oven to bake, it's the first time I have tried cooking them side by side and both baking dishes fitted perfectly. It cool here this morning, so the oven will warm the house up quite nicely as well.
Debra When I lived in Melb in the early 80's mission brown was all the go, I noticed that who ever owns my old house there, has changed the outside colour scheme to cream, looks so much nicer. I was looking at exterior paint colours for our wooden trim and concrete verandah, there are so many lovely colours to chose from these days.

Good morning Bushy,
Mission Brown was the bane of my life - everywhere.
All windows, pillars & posts.
Ended up choosing a very light green/grey - the house is Besser Brick will withstand the end.
Used the same colour only several shades darker for the trim.
Really nice shadow effect.
Have a great Christmas.

Hi bushie - sounds good - I love roast lamb but most of the others don't so we are having turkey roll, roast beef and roast pork. I don't have to cook any meat - I am the sweets cook plus cauli and cheese sauce because the young ones don't know how to make the sauce. I'm nearly finished all I can do today - a lot of creaming and decorating in the morning.
What colour is the main part of your house bushie? Do you have any colours in mind?
Better go and mix up our daughter's birthday cake for Boxing Day ... chocolate with chocolate ganache as she doesn't like cream.

I am not going near any shops, it is pandemonium I can hear it from here. So it will be a stay at home day.
Debra, yes the exhibition had some quirky things but even when something was not to one's "taste" there was nothing boring! Went dressed to suit the show too 🙂 happy christmas to you and your family
Deb, if you are thinking of crossing to the dark side...
The poster boy for the MSO Star Wars special a while back 😉

Morning Sandy
I love cauil in cheese sauce as well, yum .... I agree with your daughter I dont like cream either, so a sm container has been purchased for Mr B to pour over his trifle. We buy our lamb straight off the farm, it's tastes delish sprinkled with Italian herbs and fresh mint.
My house is painted white Sandy, so it does leave some options apart from needing to blend a bit with the verandah timber.
Waves good morning to Amber 🙂
