My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Waves to Bushie, Freddie, Sandy ๐Ÿ™‚

good morning everyone... Busy day today. Started thinking about work so not sleeping. The cold snap is making me very hungry too.

Re: My day

Oh dear Smiley Sad

Everyone busy?

Or has this lovely thread petered out....

I hope Bushie's steps have come together, I'd love to see a pic of the finished product.

Amber, it's awesome that you overcame the trauma and can swim again!

When I was working (teacher's Aide) I got given the Non Swimmers to babysit in the baby pool during school swimming classes, and by the end all of them could at least paddle a few metres to the pool edge. Nothing orthodox in my methods, I just did what had been done to me (I also had a near drowning experience and was terrified of water).

The lovely woman who eventually got me swimming taught me breast stroke so I didn't need to put my face in the water.

Morning everyone.  I was reading about Jackie French have been named Senior Australian of the Year.  I had only remembered her from Burke's Backyard.  The days when she gave alternate remedies and potions and lotions.  And when she was a "cuddly" person.

I didn't know she was an author.  How embarrassing.  (I'm still reading books from the pre-60s)  However, having looked around Mr Google's pages, I discovered the Talking Heads interview.  I am delighted to have re-found her.  Perhaps, you will find her life's story just as interesting.

...........................

About to wipe the marmalade from my face and venture out into the cool morning and re-visit my woodworking and shellac pot.
