Hi everyone - Party went very well. Everyone went home with very full tummies and seemed to have a good time.
We still have visitors staying - they're going home to Stawell this afternoon and to be honest - I am ready to have some peace and quiet.
I've got craft here as well today and they'll be here in 40 mins so best have my shower and put the heater on in the shed.
Enjoy your day ....

Well done with the party Sandy, it sounds as though it was a lot of fun and very successful.
Know just how you feel when the visitors go, love having them, but then you need some peace and silence for a while ...
Have a great time with the craft, that should be relaxing xx

Hello everyone just popping in to say I'm catching up. Hope everyone had a good weekend

Bushie, DYD means Dear Youngest Daughter
I can't just use DD (Dear Daughter) as I have two, so add the Y.
She reckons it's 6 weeks, but I really think bub will come early - she is sooooo BIG!
Now I have to get stuck into making the wraps and bunny rugs.
We finally got our lounge room all sorted too - just in time for the party. I didn't think I'd have room for all my 'treasures', but it has worked out really well.
Now just waiting on the new lounge....

Afternoon all xxx
Has your lounge arrived yet B3? Hope it gets there with no delays and you can start to enjoy it as soon as possible.
It is indeed exciting about the new baby on the way .. how nice is that to be making the bunny rugs and wraps.
Lots going on here as usual .. the best part of this week will be tomorrow when the second lot of new vertical blinds are installed, have been really anxiously waiting for those, really didn't want to wait until summer ... ... they are a really soft "Wedgewood Blue".
Hope everyone is having a great day and looking forward to the weekend ...

I love the Wedgewood Blue colour! I find the verticals also help to keep the cold at bay... at least a little. (The days have been nice here but oh my is the wind biting!)
I had to fight to get the master bedroom painted blue, and the colour there has turned out to be a very soft duck-egg blue - I LOVE it! It was supposed to be a soft blue to grey colour, but just like the rest of the house the colour turned out completely different to what it looked on the sample.
Having a bit of trouble co-ordinating quilt covers to it though. I do have one that was a gift from my DIL a couple of years back when she was doing Lorraine Lee that matches well, but there is not much I have seen in the shops.
I got to see my grandson today!! DYD had her 34 week scan.
Looks like he is going to be a chubba bubba - he is already way over the "average percentile" in size, gestimated weight already 5lb 11oz! I got all teary seeing his chubby cheeks and tiny face- and he had his fist in his mouth!
Half way through the first of the bunny rugs - I bind the edges so it is a bit slow and tedious but they look so nice when finished.

It is a beautiful colour and so is the duck blue B3, you have made an excellent choice.
It's interesting about you saying how the colours turned out a little different to the samples, that's exactly what happened here. Know what you mean about matching the quilt colours as well, it can be difficult, but in the end, you'll get it perfect xx
Oh wow, you have seen the little one, bless him. Sounds like he's going to be a football player already ...
Would love to see the bunny rugs if you can put a picture on please? How gorgeous xx

I've been popping in and out; round and about. But not a lot to report on the domestic front.
I was and still am, ropeable and livid when advised I couldn't change my 40 year old account to include online banking.
Wait for it - the reason is due to my not having a mobile phone!!! What ???
"Oh, we send your urgent messages and the password by SMS. You can go and buy a phone." Like hell I will. Let me see the Manager. He's busy. Well, close the account. Okay. And you can close the other accounts that have my signature. Okay.
And you may ask which Bank.
Walked into another bank nearby, and the young girl helped and guided me there and then with the Customer in-Branch computer.
...............................
And on a sad note, I have learnt that a very important person in my former life has passed away.
It's strange how I feel. He's really left me now. But his death also reminds me of others so dear to me, who I have lost. It's like the burden of sorrow keeps getting heavier.
Life's a bugga sometimes.

DEB, so sorry to hear that. He will stay with you in your memories, you know. Think of good things that happened with you and it might help just a little.
