After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

When I go into that bank I often encounter a staff member who asks me if she can help me.
I usually point to the unoccupied teller machines and say "Yes, please, just go over there and open that counter."
and invariably I am directed to stand in the queue and wait.
Why do they ask if they can help me when the answer is so bleeding obvious?
Just open the teller and don't waste my time with insincere offers to help that you have no intention of fulfilling.
Yes, it's that bank. It's getting so bad that I'm thinking of taking my custom elsewhere.
They employ someone to stand on the floor offering McHelp meanwhile the unmanned teller counters give the lie to their apparent concern for my welfare.
I wish I had a job like that. But then again I'd feel guilty offering "help" that I really had no intention of delivering.

Good one, I'll have to do that one. I can't stand that stupid question either. They are trying to get us all out onto the footpath.
I have on a few occasions, when there is a long line of customers and only two tellers at which bank, called out, "Can we have some more tellers please?" It always works.

Lloyds, I'm so sorry that you have lost someone important in your life .. I hope as the days go by that you can smile again .. it's not strange to feel the way you do about it, it means you are a caring and compassionate person xxx
About the 'which' bank ... we abandoned them years ago because we could see the writing on the wall so to speak. Not that the others of the 'big four' are remarkably different, but so far so good.
What a cheek they had to tell you to go buy a phone, it's extraordinarily bad behaviour and quite odd in my opinion, if not a little rude.
Have a great day everyone .....
