My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Oh and I found out how much a unit down the road from us sold for last month. I had a look at it when it went on the market to get a comparison with our's. Our unit is bigger, bigger bedrooms, bigger kitchen and living area, our garage has access into the unit, our court yard is bigger, we also have security grates on all windows plus on 3 units side by side compared to 7 in that block.  It sold for $1,500 less then what we paid woohoo!!

Congrats on that, too, Freddie, and CYE.

Today, I am inventing a new dish. Pork ribs with marmalade, soy, and lemon/lime sauce.

Morning Az, I tossed ideas around and decided to go for the vinyl tile look for now. I would have loved to do a new kitchen refit, but realistically I wonder if the $$ spent on that project would be recouped in resale. Also, the bathroom could do with a refit as well. So, for now we will tizz the kitchen dinning area up at a basic $$ amount, and maybe down the track do the kitchen refit. I ordered some black cupboard handles to match the black kickboard, the vinyl I selected is a very light colour.

My favourite kitchen vinyl had a marble effect. It was absolutely fantastic at hiding stains - everything used to look as though it belonged there, lol.

Mind you, given that I was pregnant, or my son was a baby at the time, that wasn't as useful as it might have been ๐Ÿ˜‰

That sounds nice Freddie and easy clean etc.. ๐Ÿ™‚

When we moved in here, we redid the kitchen colour by using laminate paint, new handles and a new pantry cupboard just to make it more practical, 10 years later we removed it and hence, new kitchen.

I did sell the old kitchen very easily too..

After weeks of procrastination and much anxiety, I finally mowed the naturestrip and now I feel stuffed. LOL.

I spent the morning weeding to fill the green bin. Lovely sunny day, no galeforce winds so far...unlike the past couple of days.

Also cut back the burgeoning ivy so as not to decapitate the nice postie.

That reminds me, I must cut back the bouganvillea in the bed next to the mailbox............

I am going out to mail the grandies 8th birthday gift............... and buy a new shower head and hose for the main bathroom, it has a fixed head and since I don't use it, I just realised how much of a pain it is when showering children.

When the showerhead replacement scheme was on, I changed over both showerheads from vintage fixed to gleaming new multiposition, control-the-flow freebies...ahhhhhh...bliss.

I need a new showerhead ... the one I have flops over (often on to my head). The only position it stays is is upright which means I have the taps almost in my back, and often catch them with my elbows resulting in a burst of heat or cold and I don't know which one's worse.
