Oh looky there's the green kitty *waves*
Morning Tas, I โฅ Bunnings & Masters our Master's is only new and OMG they have some exciting stuff.
I've watered, squirted the naughty little new heads poking up in the pebbles with roundup.
Had a chin wag with my dear old neighbour (she spotted me watering so grabbed her walker and down she came ) She's the dear old lady who fell and was on the floor for 4 days before we found her. She's done so well since coming back home. Home Care come in everyday except Sunday and shower her, one day a week they do her shopping and clean. We keep an eye on her as well.

She's a dear old soul, there's only the 3 units and the elderly lady in the back unit has dementia. So I guess it will only be a matter of time and we will have new neighbours in both units. In the meantime we don't mind keeping an eye on them both, it would be a sad old world if we didn't look out for our neighbour's. We have keys to next door.

Opposite a house that we lived in years ago, lived an elderly woman known as Poor Old Hazel. She grew the most beautiful roses and quite often I would end up with bunches and bunches of them. Hazel refused to accept that she needed help and it wasn't until she was told that she needed to put in a nursing home that she sprung into action. One of my dearest friends, long since departed, was granted POA, Meals On Wheels was organised as was home help. One of us would check on her every day to make sure she was alright. One night, she had a fall and fortunately, her new next door neighbour heard her calling out and rescued her. Poor love went downhill quickly after that and died soon after. She treasured her independence and losing that took away her will to live.
She gave me her old rocking chair circa 1930's, I thnk. Its in need of reupholstering. I'll add it to my lonnnnnnnnnnng list of things to be done.

I just had a naughty bengal meowing at the front door. The front door! She started to run away, changed her mind and came running inside instead whilst telling me all about her great adventure. LOL.
