After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Morning, another Saturday is here already where has the week gone??
We have the NBN workers hovering around the area, so it looks like we may finally join the the NBN connected people.
Feels like another warm humid day ahead we could do with a share of the rain.
Bushy you asked about the bathroom curtains, I still have the half curtains up. We haven't received our HWS bill yet I thought that would have been in the post pronto. Also no word regarding the new shower panel but I guess that won't be too far away.

Good morning to everyone .... ![]()
Here I am sitting in my study/workroom/den/office (the mind boggles) with my desk pulled out into the middle of the room while Mr. Tas is restoring a wall ... there are bits of plaster, drops of water, various rollers and a strange hexagonal bucket ..... ![]()
It's going to be a different colour by dinner time tonight, all finished, and you guessed it, snow white! How lucky am I then? He's managed to get everything out of the way while leaving the equipment accessible and functional, he's amazing. So that's my day set out, think I'll head for the kitchen and then the laundry and try to keep out of the way .... ![]()
B3, hope you are recovering from your bad night and lack of sleep now? ... xx
Freddie, how is that shower of yours going, are you still singing?
Have a great weekend.

Morning everybody. Yesterday ended up being eventful. A friend came over in the afternoon with champagne and cheese for a belated xmas/new year celebration. After we'd finished one bottle, my eldest rang, asking if I could come and pick her up becaise she had just had an accident which involved four cars rear-ending each other. I couldn't because I had been drinking but the mechanics ended up giving her a courtesy car which she drove here. Fortunately, she was unhurt, just shaken up. My poor girl was so upset and needed lots of hugs from her mum - and a glass of champagne. I haven't spoken to her this morning because she had a wedding to do so I'll call her later on. I think my heart stopped for a moment when she said,"I don't want you to panic, Mum, but I've just been in an accident."

Morning Tas yes still singing in the shower ![]()
Mmmm sounds like you will have a nice clean fresh work area by tonight.
Why oh why did I decide to get on the scales this morning ![]()
I started the year with good intentions but the heat has put a dampener on the desire, bring on the cool weather.

Throw those scales out, Freddie, they are evil things.

Oh dear Bluey, I hope she wasn't in the wrong?

Bluecat, that is so frightening, glad all is well and your daughter is safe and nobody was hurt.
Freddie, yes OUT WITH THOSE SCALES! Technically, it's still Christmas holidays so a little indulgence here and there hasn't hurt you, the new resolutions can start at midnight any day now ....

Yes, she was. Her car was the most damaged and had to be towed away, the car in front of her had a slight dent but the other two looked completely unscathed. It was a low speed accident which was very fortunate. The lights had just changed so the cars had only just started moving, my eldest said that she glanced away for a split second and hadn't seen that the cars in front of her had suddenly stopped. She bumped into the car in front of her and the domino effect happened. She was so angry with herself.

Well bluey lets hope for her sake a lesson learnt and thankfully no one hurt but no doubt she will be shaken up.
I know once the weather cools down I will get back to my walking daily, it's just not on in this himid heart.
