My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Yet, yet another animals which should never have been brought to Australia, now we are paying for it 😞   Most of my neighbours have chooks, ducks etc and quite a few have a pet sheep or two ( or more )in their yards, so foxes are a def no, no around here.  I dont have prob with them, the hounds would soon take car of them if they came into my yard, which they prob wouldnt but it's another reason why I dont want to keep chooks here.  

We have been looking into getting some sheep to breed from and raise for meat,  foxes are our greatest concern as they land we are interested  in, is out of town, so it's something we really need to consider very carefully before any decisions are made.

Morning. I was woken by thunder and heavy rain this morning. It's been raining steadily for a couple of hours now. I'm still lying in bed with a coffee on the table beside me. I might just stay here 🙂

I didn't water yesterday as rain and thunderstorms were forecast for us, but it didn't happen. Not a drop of rain here Bushies so I might have to water later today

Well I've had an interesting week. I'd been getting hives for the last few months and then last week I had them all over my neck and down over my shoulder so i thought I'd better visit the doc for a check up. Firstly he tells me I have a fat neck (as if I didn't already know that) and sends me off for a blood test and ultrasound. ultrasound show an enlarged thyroid (goitre) and blood test shows some inflammation in the small blood vessels. So back yesterday for more blood tests and he still cant tell me whats wrong with me but he keeps asking about history of arthritis in my family. I think he's checking for rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, I googled of course and come up with all sorts of horrible things it could be, cancer being one of them, but there's no point worrying about that until the test results come back.

Anyway, I feel alright so I'm sure its probably nothing.

Morning Debra

Yesterday there no rain forecast for here, so I had the sprinkler going where the grass is all dying I am trying establish, then presto, just as all timber was being delivered yesterday arvo, it poured ..... Sometimes you just cant win lol

PD Stay away from google it is NOT your friend where illness is concerned. I used to get hives as a kid, think it was something to do with my blood. Could it be stress that is causing them?

I assumed the hives were stress which is why I hadnt bothered seeing the doc about them.

My guess is the hives, the thyroid and the blood vessel things are not even connected. Despite the enlargement my thyroid function is fine. The hives were mostly on pressure areas, bra strap, jeans button etc apart from the ones on my neck but that was a rather stressful day. The blood vessel thing is probably the most concerning, but its just as likely to be nothing as something.

Funny, i was driving home from the docs telling myself to stay away from google, but I beelined for the computer as soon as I got here 🙂
