Yaaaay!!  Good morning Bushie, yes, you are one of the main inspirations that guided us into turning our ground from pebbles to colour xxx

Love those daffodils (are they daffodils?) they look a bit different being white but I'm guessing there are all sorts?

Good morning all.

They are Jonquils Tas, most Daffodils only have one flower per stem, whereas Jonquils usually form a cluster    .... Both come is large variety of yellows, creams, whites etc

Jonquils, I must remember that, thank you Bushie xx

Is it a bit early to be putting the bulbs in yet?  It's very frosty and cold here in Tasmania right now, would that matter?

Best time to plant them,  tas.   The colder the better for bulbs.

Some people keep them in the fridge crisper for a couple of months.

You get better blooms when they are stored cold and planted cold (so they say)

It's tad late for many of them Tas .... The cold, frost etc wont hurt them at all, they need to cold ground to start to shoot. This is a great site to check out re planting time for seeds, plants, bulbs etc etc in your particular area ..... www.gardenate.com

Perhaps also check with your Tassie bulb growers they will let you know can still be planted in your area

My day

I'm still waiting for the daffodils I planted to make an appearance....

I was sure they would all be up and running in no time - but unlike the tired looking freesia bulbs (all but ONE plant has now made an appearance! Smiley Surprised) there is not a single shoot poking through Smiley Indifferent

Still very busy here, I am supposed to be doing a whole heap of sewing of bunny rugs, wraps, sheets etc for my coming grandbaby, but apart from unpacking my sewing machine I haven't managed to find the time to actually DO anything : smileysad:  Hope I manage to get the last of the doors "done"  when the OH goes back to work on Monday - he is a bad influence!

We have bought new wall / entertainment units for the lounge room (delivery sometime next week hopefully) aaannndd a new lounge suite (delivery in 3 months - is this normal???)
