After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Thanks for the comments. I have heightened senses as a result of panic/anxiety disorder. Sometimes life is poetic sometimes not so. Along with my habit of reading, I use those senses to describe my surroundings and people - almost forensically some might say.
Oh and I must acknowledge the introduction to my life of this wonderful book when I was 6 years old.

Bushie......it's amazing how hardy are roses. We could just say that they have been "heeled" for the past 6 months or so.
Of the photo in the two-tone challenge, I could almost smell them. ***sniff ***Mmmmmmmmmmm. 
Speaking of smells....b3 will have the opportunity soon (along with Lurker) of that wonderful scent of a freshly bathed baby.

DEB I agree re roses, tough as nails they are lol I am now more into veggie growing/using the land more productively , so the main rose garden had to go. I tend to prefer native shrubs, encourage more birds and bees/far less maintenance/pest probs/ less water required etc etc Took this pic a cpl of days ago, all the roses are now moved so the bed is ready for top soiling and Spring planting

Morning bushie. Great work you are doing. We have little caulis and cabbages at the moment plus onions, beetroot and broccoli.
I'm a bit over roses. Beautiful flower but a lot of work to keep tidy. In the main garden, we are gradually covering it with ground covers - maintenance free.
