For that poor little innocent baby tossed away like a sack of garbage down the storm water drain. I can't get my head around how any Mother could do such a thing. Never having gone through PND I can't fogive her actions as a Mother wouldn't you call out for help before it came to this?

How many abandoned babies did you save from a drain today she-ele?..... none.
If the baby ever did hear his story (which I hope he doesn't)..... somehow I think he would view the rescuers as his heros.
It took several days for those people to come along and respond...... I wonder how many people kept walking....
I think most people would view them as heros.....

They are not heros. Merely people who raised the alarm so the emergancy services could rescue the baby.

Undeniably, good people. But we cheapen the meaning of the word hero when we use it to describe for anyone who does a good deed.
And as for how many babies I've rescued - assumption is the mother of all stuff ups. Not all babies in need of rescuing are lying in drains.

Bub is only a few days old.
PND is in place before the birth.
Could have been worse. The baby of Keli Lane has never been found, and that was not PND.
I know someone who had PND that started during pregnancy.
I have never had PND but with both babies I had the 'baby blues'. Sounds so harmless doesn't it? But mine was so severe that I was paranoid and was hallucinating through the tears about all sorts of weird things. It disappeared as quickly as it came 5 days later but it was a real eye opener for me in terms of how the chemicals in your body after birth can turn your mind from rational to irrational without any indications of what is coming.
Who knows what made this mum do this. It's a bit hard to judge her without knowing the facts.

"Despite the charge, the Samoan woman has been given the privilege of naming him - and has chosen a biblical name.
For legal reasons the Daily Telegraph cannot reveal it, but it is associated with one of the most infamous child death cases in
Australian history.".......What the?.......
