It does look a bit like Townsville there. It doesn't do Hamilton Island justice. Just wanted to get a pic of them all lined up

I live in a lakeside rural village on the NSW mid north coast.
I am guilty of feeding the possums. I have a reason for this.
I give them one slice of fruit each....and off they go because they know that is all they will get.
Now for my reason....when the females come with a baby on their backs the babes learn to come here.
If one of the babes is orphaned it still comes up and I give it just enough fruit for it to survive only until it can take care of itself.
Then I cut back and it is on its own.
I have two tiny orphans visiting right now. Either dogs or cats (or maybe a python) killed their mothers.
I have been doing this for years.
I am not licensed to care for them so they are free to remain in their traditional area around my home where they are accepted by the mature possums.

Thanks Harley. I wasn't sure. They looked a bit crow like, were quite big and didn't have as much white on them as I would have thought.
My mate just thought we had bigger magpies up here in QLD.
