Re: My registered cat has been beaten.....

So sorry to hear this... that is so sad... hope she revovers soon

My cat has a rib sticking out and the vet thinks that it was broken by someone kicking her. Lucky she didn't need anything done but five years on and the rib still pokes out.

Re: My registered cat has been beaten.....

hi bluecat -how did you harness 'train' your cat please?

How do you manage the toileting thing using an aviary enclosure please?....sand trays/boxes?

A second hand aviary would do; just add toys, shelves etc and cat.

One of mine is harnessed trained.

Yes a secondhand aviary is a good idea.  My brother built a kitty "alcatraz" I think it was about $300 to make, about 4 years ago

Just put one or two kitty litter trays down the bottom and they will use them... no problem. Better to make them covered for comfort if they don't.

Re: My registered cat has been beaten.....

That is disgraceful and I feel for you and your poor baby.

One day my cat came home sore and sorry for himself, some 'human' had kicked him fair in the chest. Poor boy could not get up the stairs, I had to carry him. However he recovered well.

Hope he is feeling better soon.  I do not understand some 'humans'

Re: My registered cat has been beaten.....

Cheers. My two readily use kitty tray inside at night and during the day if need too.

Thank you to everyone for support and ideas/suggestions - you have helped me to stop crying:)

Re: My registered cat has been beaten.....

I put the harness on her - that was a battle in itself - let her get used to the sensation of it before attaching the lead. At first she would roll over and refuse to move but after a lot of patience and perserverance, she now enjoys it and likes taking her human for walks underneath bushes, around trees, over rocks.........lol

I use kitty litter trays for my three.

.....and they call them the 'animals'

I know who the animal is here, and it sure isn't the innocent little furry friends I love and trust.

Re: My registered cat has been beaten.....

First must say how sorry i am..People can be hidious..The best thing for your cats safety is a pet enclosure or even a small area latticed off on your veranda with an enclosed roof and lots of climbing posts ect..The reality is cats do fine being locked in..Yes they love the sunshine and watching the birds but they really spend most of the day time hours sleeping and basking..You can let your cat roam the garden when you are there to supervise..The saying with all cat breeders and show people alike is BETTER INSIDE AND FAT THAN OUTSIDE AND FLAT..Sadly even though most people are tolerant of cats there are always a few that are not..Its only time before they trap a cat that wanders into thier garden to pee or bait an animal..It does happen and when cats dissapear the owners cant understand why...Not only are there risks with the cat dislikers out thier ..there are also many other dangers to your beloved pet..Feline aids and Leukemia viris are spread through contact with other wandering sick cats that visit...Abcesses are very common with cat fights...Cars claim the lives of many felines and pure bred animals will be stolen..Some cats are even caught to be used in horrible dog baiting fights...Please every body reading this protect your pets from the nasties out thierCat Sad
