Nature in the Neighbourhood

What a wonderful idea.  Build a frog pond.  Let the children see Nature close at hand.

Bull frogs croaking most of the night long. Their charming "love songs" resonating around the colorbond fenced yard.  Echoing and echoing.

How long will this "season" last?  Will the little tadpoles join the chorus in coming months?

I hope the herons venture into that yard.  That would be Nature close at hand, too.

I am so very tired this morning.Smiley Sad

Re: Nature in the Neighbourhood

I have pet spiders and geckoes. I carefully look after the webs and hiding places in the hope they'll eat mozzies.

What is the purpose of a mozzie anyway?

That must be a lot work caring for the webs and hiding places.  Sure you don't need a rest from all that work? Smiley LOL

Re: Nature in the Neighbourhood

It is quite a lot of work, especially the web in my bedroom. It's under a shelf and I have to be careful not to wreck it when I do the dusting. I do try hard not to do the dusting too often, just in case ๐Ÿ˜„

The geckoes are easy cos they live behind paintings.
