Neighbour problems how to handle them in a way that lasts.

I have had problems with this neighbour forever 30 years.

?

First problem she asked to share our TV antenna and add a thing to get more channels, we said yes and for 2 months it worked fine then we go no reception at all, she had disconnected the antenna from our house and moved it to the other side of hers, I asked for it to be returned to our house the way it was in the first place.

They bought it back alright and just dumped it on our front lawn.

?

Next problem my teenage daughter decided she wanted to leave home because I was too strict to allow her out after10pm when she was 16, she needed money to do this so she asked the neighbour to tell centerlink

that she was an abused child, the neighbour did this causing me no ends of problems.

?

Now after 20 years have passed and we should all be settled I got a leak in the ceiling caused because she has her stink pipe on our roof been there for years without my noticing this, anyway I got this fixed at our expense $1500 and asked her to get her pipe onto her own roof.

?

So this new problem could be retaliation but in the last month 4 times we have had her grandkids throw orange peels and bits of orange over the fence all over our yard and in the spa.

?

We have let it go but my husband is too old to be picking all this stuff up if it continues, how is the best way to handle this?

?

I really don't feel like going through a third generation thing with grandkids. ?

I guess talking to these kinds of people (seriously? throwing rubbish over the fence?) is a waste of time. I've been there .. done that.

This has worked for me in the past. Get yourself an eight sided Feng Shui mirror and attach it to the outside wall facing your neighbours. This deflects any negative energy coming from their side.

]:) but think it through thoroughly;-)

Have you tried talking to them.

Saying something like ' I know we haven't always agreed and seen eye to eye, however it has been a long time, do you think we can just get along now, and possibly you could ask your grandies not to throw their rubbish over the fence.'

I knocked on her door this morning to discuss it with her but she seems to be out.

This time I think we will leave all the skins there till I can catch her home.

Mrgrizz I think everyone has one you know that white pipe that comes up somewhere on your roof for the bathroom or laundry or both.

I am in a town house 4 houses joined together the neighbour added a story and when she did this I guess she thought it would look better to have her pipe on my roof.

I can sympathise, I have things thrown over to my place, and I wish they were orange peels.  I had to put netting (like the one people put over fruit trees) over the dog run to make sure that the neighbor cannot throw anything that could hurt the dogs, and I lock the dogs there if I am not at home; I search the whole property before I let them out.

I am even thinking about moving.

I'd be sending her a letter explaining the problems and saying that if the situation is not resolved immediately you will be either calling the police or taking legal advice.  Or, both.

How is your daughter now?

I used to find sharps in my yard, insulin pen sharps, still sharps though. I have moved now, for various reasons.
