Our new 'pup' (10 months) arrived a week ago and is settling in well. She seems happy and has stopped pining for her old family although every now and then there is a bit of wimpering if she can't see where we are.
She is drinking water but she isn't eating. The only thing we have managed to get into her is small bits of BBQ chicken skin (vets idea). That is in 7 days!
We called the breeder and apparently her companion (another female her age) also stopped eating but was back on her food by day 4.
Is there anything I can do?

Well, of course you'd say that because you have no idea what a dog actually needs for it's emotional well being.

It's happy Stawka because it's having fun outside

As long as it is an 'indoor' horse

I don't think some people are thinking this through ...
Of course dogs love being outdoors. They also love being with their pack. If their pack spent 22 hours outdoors with them they'd be as happy as a piglet in mud. If the dog had a choice to be inside or outside as they pleased within reasonable limits they'd also be one happy well adjusted dog. If they got walked at least once a day and played with on daily basis and trained, the dog would be happy.
We are not talking about indoor/outdoor dogs here. We are talking about excluding the dog from it's pack.

Is that your dog Joono? He's beautiful. I always had black labs.
Don't have one now though. I would trip over the lazy sod.
If Martini's dog was a lab, there wouldn't be a problem
with it eating - posted this before, but sums up a lab's appetite

You are not wrong there Stawka. Just this morning I was wondering what it would be like to get so excited and jump around with joy just because someone gave you the same old cup of biscuits again. Day in day out.
Didn't Martini say that Bassets have the same kind of appetite? Anyway, good thing her new pup is settled in and eating well again.

He is lovely!
My mini Dachsund gets very excited about dinner time, you would think it was something tasty!
