Our new 'pup' (10 months) arrived a week ago and is settling in well. She seems happy and has stopped pining for her old family although every now and then there is a bit of wimpering if she can't see where we are.
She is drinking water but she isn't eating. The only thing we have managed to get into her is small bits of BBQ chicken skin (vets idea). That is in 7 days!
We called the breeder and apparently her companion (another female her age) also stopped eating but was back on her food by day 4.
Is there anything I can do?

I cannot have my 2 males together, so they are walked separately female is fine with both of them. They all walk quite well on lead ( no pulling ) which makes for a pleasant walk.
When I showed my girl there were people there with Sibe Huskies, gorgeous dogs but a bit on the stubborn side apparently
Um, I think so, I'd have to look back on the receipt from the vets that sounds right though.
Oh thats a shame about the males, bit of a twos company threes a crowd thing or ar they desexed? Nah I've found that too. Huskies pull like the clappers, the Shepherds not so much...
I reallly really wanted my husky to have just one litter of pups, she made such a great mum to the kitten I rescued that I kept her bits hoping I could maybe find someone with a male that we could try with until she got out and picked up by the pound a couple of hours later and I ended up with an order to get her desexed. But since doing that she has calmed down alot especially around other "smaller" dogs.

Thanks cat. That is good advice .
In fact, it is such good advice that I am obliged to forgive you (you're welcome) for all the other carp you've subjected me to tonight lol.

The worst thing about them (not all the time depends what mood shes in) yeah theres one they genuinely are a bit moody, and they're aloof. Where the Shepherd has always just been so well behaved, she totally has a mind of her own and theres no way she gunna do certain things (even come inside) if she doesnt wanrt to. I like that trait though at the sam token. Makes her individual.
